So today, I was going to Henna for the first time. I got lazy.......again and chose to go a different route. I wanted to give my hair some oomph and I knew the only way to do that was with color. My friend told me about a semi-permanent rinse called Manic Panic. I really liked it because it is vegan and has had some really good reviews. I chose the Raven color (black) and I must say.......I LOVED IT!!! The cool thing is that it has many different wild colors (perfect for Halloween) in case you want to make a statement. Ultimately it gave me the look I was going for (kinda pricey at $8.99 for a small jar) so I am a satisfied customer. Enjoy your weekend!

"Girl, my hair is too oily!"
This phrase will never be uttered by a natural.......or at least a natural with hair like mine. :-) My hair loves oils, I mean LOVES oils! I noticed the second day after my BC that something was missing. I started getting on other blogs to find out what it could be and sure enough I had forgotten a very important process..........OIL YOUR COILS!!! So I came up with my very own oil concoction: almond oil, coconut oil, extra virgin olive oil, peppermint oil, Castor oil and vegetable glycerin. All of these oils are pure 100% and can be found in some stores, but I found mine at a health food store. This combination of oils has really helped my hair to stay quenched and supple. :-) Try your own mix and see what you come up with.

When your hair is thirsty............
.................try Giovanni Direct Leave-In!!! This stuff is the truth. After I co-wash, I put some of this in my hair and I have the softest curls all day long! You can find it at your local health food store (I found mine at Whole Foods and Central Market) and I will warn you that it can be pricey but is well worth it!
Afro Puff
So I got lazy last night and didn't do my twist out as expected. I got caught up in a major Project Runway DVR extravaganza! Just a side note...........Mondo should have won!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I digress......so as I'm watching each contestant talk about how much it means to them to make it to Fashion Week, I slowly feel myself dreading the fact that I am supposed to be in my head getting my hair on and poppin'! After watching the horrible ending to PR and seeing Gretchen get picked (BOOOOOOOOO!!!!) I looked up and it was 2:15 am!!!!!!!!!!!! There was no way I was about to start twisting my hair. I slapped a satin bonnett on my head and called it a night (technically I called it a morning). Woke up this morning, co-washed with Herbal Essence Totally Twisted, put some Giovanni Direct Leave-In on my hair, oils and shea butter. Once that was applied, I put some Ecostyler Olive Oil Gel on my hair and pushed it back (with headbands) into my cute little afro puff! ;-) I have to say this was easy and cute!

Interesting Hair Day
So today's hair day was interesting. I think my hair has a mind of its own........seriously! My hair has changed so much in the past few days. I think my curls are getting used to being free. LOL!! The good thing is that my curls maintained its softness and it feels so luscious. I plan on doing twists tonight and see how my hair reacts to it. Yes, my hair is that long and thick enough to do twists (as previously posted I think my hair grew majorly in 5 days). I will take a photo of the twists.......good or bad......so you can see the results. Til then.....GO RANGERS!
An Inch in 5 Days????
Okay, so either I have the fastest growing hair known to man or I am trippin'!! I BC'd 5 days ago and it feels like my hair has grown sooooooo much!!! Everytime I put my hands in my hair it feels like I am grabbing a never ending supply of hair! Weird......I know. I am truly loving the thicknes of my TWA and I can't remember the last time I felt so good. The hand in hair syndrome is REAL ya'll!
